A couple of weeks ago Alex Pastor went on a trip to visit his friend Anthar Racca at his home spot near Cancun, Mexico. Was looking forward to kite at his spot for a while and finally found the time to get to Isla Blanca, Mexico. They had their first kite session at Isla Blanca, right next to Anthar Racca’s kiteschool (Ikarus Kiteboarding). It’s an amazing location for kiteboarding with waist-deep water and steady wind for 13-15m kites.
The next day they took the boat and found the perfect spot 15 minutes away from the kite school in Isla Blanca, the wind was just blowing perpendicular to the sand bar and the water got completely flat, so they had a good kite session in our 13m Razors. As the forecast wasn’t looking too promising for the next couple of days, they went on a road trip to another kite spot in Mexico. They drove about 4 hours until they arrived in Progreso, Yucatan.
Angel, the owner of YucKite kiteschool in Progreso helped them out with everything they needed and took them to an amazing kitespot which was an abandoned harbor. The wind there was a lot stronger and they had a sick session with our 11m and even 9m in the afternoon.
